Dancing Trees Forest
The trails through DANCING TREES FOREST
If you want a little adventure,
close to the cottage, you will find a whole different
world just across the cottage road.
In Dancing Trees Forest you can hike along several marked trails or follow
a splashing stream that runs
from West Lake down to Moose Lake. Moose Lake is a large lake which runs into
Eagle Lake ~~ ideal for hours of canoeing or fishing!
 |
As you continue walking along the
trails, you may come across magnificent cliffs,
a splashing stream and deer.
The forest and
surrounding lakes provide countless opportunities to experience natural wonders every day!
 |
Many of the trees in this forest are designated
'essential'
by the Ministry of Natural Resources. These trees, which help support the
natural ecology of the forest are very large and have survived many
years. If you look carefully, you'll find claw marks all the way up the
sides of many beech trees which provide nuts for climbing animals
such as raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks and bears. Other designated trees
are home to many other species of wild life. Don't forget to take your
camera!
